Rock in Caputh-Shooting

Another shooting, this time from the event Rock in Caputh where Audrey Fights Back! entered the stage…
One of my favourite local bands by the way 🙂

The festival was sponsored by an awesome local radio station called StarFM, so you should take a look on their live-streams if you like rock music!

Event, see it on flickr.

More pictures will follow!
I need to decide and RAW-edit them first…

Get equipped! – part one

Go in and win – Equipment for the amateur photographer –
part one

A proper equipment is essential.
Especially for photographers because they put themselves in situations where hightech definitely shouldn’t be put in.
To avoid a total blackout in your career, I suggest you to get some awesome photo stuff which protects your camera & lenses
and prevent them damage to it.

So I asked the guys who know what they are doing about additional camera equipment.
I will list these things in the order I bought them so I can first take a look at them personally before I post about them.

Release the bird from the cage

Just a quick update about my blog.

As I promised I will move my blog on my private webspace.
And I will use the more independent and configurable!

So the first step is done, I bought webspace and my future domain.
I’m not gonna tell you the URL yet, not because I like to bother but because there is nothing.
Just “the void”.

Follow this blog or me on facebook to get the next update first!
So long…and thanks for all the fish.

After the immense traffic on my new blog after the last post, I was quite surprised how many people are actually reading this blog.
Of course I’ll continue writing about my studies and stuff! But you’ll need to know that I saw this & appreciate your interest!

The weekend after my last course I went outside to a nice garden area close to where I live to shoot some more pictures.
I wanted to try more than the tasks “allowed” me to do at uni.
Unfortunately it was a rainy day…

Theory goes practical

After hours of theory about all the different kinds of creative subjects, I had my “first” practical experience in class.
It wasn’t quite a challenge but after all it was handy to repeat everything theoretical again and use it afterwards in specific tasks.

I’m talking about DSLR-cameras.
Or the short way Digital Single Lense Reflector Camera.
Like the Canon EOS I can count to my beloved belongings!

Our tasks for today were experiencing exposure and aperture in combination with other settings
like ISO, depth of field and the focal distance of each lens.

You can see the results in the following pictures on flickr.
